The bill (Reg. No.3450) authorizes international financial organizations to issue hryvnia-nominated bonds in Ukraine.
The bill also permits bond certificates and issue of the certificate for the total par value, since the effective version of part 8 of clause 7 of the Law "On Securities and Stock Market" excludes the possibility of issuing certificates for the total par value, which complicates and impedes acquisition of certificates for a large amount of bonds by the investor.
The bill also envisages circulation of certificated savings (deposit) certificates only, since the depositary registration of dematerialized savings (deposit) certificates is not regulated.
The Committee members stated that issue of bonds in other countries by the international financial organizations is a common practice, which brings in extra investments both into the economic sectors and into the stock markets.
